Challenges in Modern Physics and Quantum Technologies

9th edition, april 1st–5th, 2019

Applications are now open for the 9th Edition of INSPYRE, the INternational School on modern PhYsics and REsearch at the Laboratori  Nazionali di Frascati (LNF) of the Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare (INFN), Frascati (RM), Italy.

The School is open to about 80 students in their last two years of high school coming from Italy and abroad.
INSPYRE includes lectures and laboratory activities on Modern Physics and its applications in society.
This year a particular focus is on "Challenges in Modern Physics and Quantum Technologies”.

The participants will also have the opportunity to visit the main experiments and accelerating facilities at LNF.
English is the official language of the school.

The activity is free of charge; however, accomodation, travel and meals are at participants’ own expense (except for lunch which is offered at the LNF canteen).

Due to the high number of applications, we will only be able to accept 2 students per school maximum. Selection process will work on a “first come, first served” basis.

Application deadline is november 30th, 2018.

The LNF Education and Dissemination Office will contact the selected schools in order to define the details for their participation.
